The tour starts at 8:30 a.m. heading towards the plains of Souss; a famous agricultural area and on to Taroudant, one of the oldest cities in Morocco located 80 km southeast of Agadir with its aged medina surrounded by 6 km of ramparts built in beaten earth are very interesting and somewhat remind the visitor of Marrakech.

The excursion starts by going around the famous ramparts then stopping for a break at the Salam Palace, a former palace of the Pacha of Taroudant and its region, the palace currently turned into a riad/hotel where visitors can enjoy a well deserved meant tea, coffee or even a fresh orange juice at the patio and garden of this great palace.

The discovery of the old city starts with a walk through the labyrinth of the old medina and its souks (markets) rich in handicrafts, food products, clothing, and jewelry items; a paradise for admirers of authenticity and genuine atmosphere. At the end of the guided tour free time is allowed in Assarag square for picture taking and having a drink at one of the cafees under the arcades of the big square.
